Good Evening Education Leaders,

The Alamo Area Alliance of Black School Educators has opened our Teacher of the Year application! Leaders can submit teachers via this form, or teachers can submit themselves. Please forward this to other leaders or teachers who you think would be a good candidate. We are looking for teachers who:

1. Inspire: The teacher should be able to inspire students from diverse backgrounds and abilities, fostering a love for learning.
2. Respect and Admiration: They should earn the respect of colleagues, students, and parents, demonstrating professionalism and dedication.
3. Community Involvement: Active participation in the community and contributions beyond the classroom are highly valued.
4. Student Achievement: Demonstrating exceptional gains in student achievement and promoting effective teaching practices.
5. Professional Development: Commitment to continuous professional growth and leadership within the educational community.
The application opens on January 22 and will close on March 16. The Alamo Area Alliance of Black School Educators will host our annual Gala on May 3, 2025, at the Judson Early College Academy.
If you have any questions, contact Dr. Caprica Wells, President of AAABSE, at alamo_president@tabse.net.

Thank you for your participation in this meaningful community educational endeavor in recognizing the unsung hero’s/shero’s in the classroom.
